Use Pebl's Tap to Pay feature to accept in-person payments for Xero invoices directly from your smartphone.

Overview:


Pebl enables you to accept in-person payments for Xero invoices using Tap to Pay on your iPhone or Android device. This seamless integration ensures that payments are instantly reconciled in Xero, streamlining your accounting process.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Go to invoice tab in your Pebl app

  2. Choose one of the following: -
    ​

    • Create a new invoice:

      • Tap the + button

      • Add your product/s to the invoice

      • Select a customer from your synced Xero contact list (or create a new one).

      • Review invoice details, ensuring GST & surcharging preferences are correct.

      • Tap Tap to Pay on iPhone/Android.
        ​

    • Select an existing invoice:

      • Scroll or search to find the pending Xero invoice you'd like to process.

      • Tap the invoice to + add payment

      • Tap Tap to Pay on iPhone/Android.
        ​

  3. Ask customer to tap their card or device on your phone to complete payment.

  4. If successful, provide a digital receipt by sharing it as a link or asking the customer to scan the QR code.

What happens to my invoice if payment fails?

Your invoice will still be visible in the Pebl app (invoice tab) along with your Xero account.

I need additional hardware to use Tap to Pay?
No, Pebl's Tap to Pay works directly on compatible smartphones without the need for extra hardware.

What if the payment doesn't go through?
Ensure your device has NFC enabled and that the customer's card or device supports contactless payments. Retry the payment or choose an alternative payment method.

If your customers card or phone isn't eligible for Tap to Pay, you can ask them to scan the QR code on the order information page, or share a payment link with them via email or SMS.
